Overview: Seek the imperishable beauty promised by God Both genders have sins worthy of judgment (3:16, Gen. 2:23, 1 Cor. 11:3) God’s judgment will take away adornments and beauty (3:17a, 18-24, Ex. 3:22, 1 Pet. 3:3-4) God’s judgment will take away protection and reputation (3:17b, 25-4:1) God promised to take away all that would take away from the Branch (4:2, 11:1, 2 Sam. 23:1, 5) And God promised a holy, cleansed, and protected remnant (4:3-6, c.f. 1:21)
