Overview: Trust God’s promises which will not be thwarted by death, oppression, or power. Beginning with a quick review of God’s blessed people (1-5, Gen. 22:17-18) Death cannot stop God’s promised blessing. (6-7) The rhetoric of oppression (8-10, 12b, 1 Jn. 3:12) The implements of oppression (11, 13-14) But, Oppression cannot stop God’s promised blessing. (12a) Those in power cannot stop God’s promised blessing. (15-21) “Because they feared God...” (21)
