Overview: When tested, put off grumbling, and put on faith in Christ. A real felt need: thirst (15:22-24) The Lᴏʀᴅ tests His people by striking them with thirst (15:25b-26, 17:1, Dt. 8:2-3, Jms. 1:2-4) Epic fail, grumbling, quarreling, and doubting (15:24, 17:2-4, 7) And Moses is no better. (17:4) The Lᴏʀᴅ shows His love by being struck to satisfy their need (17:5-6, 1 Cor. 10:1-4)
