Overview: God is holy, therefore be holy by believing in Christ Finally at Sinai, God is ready to establish His covenant with His people (19:1-6, 3:12, e.g. 8:1, 20, 9:1, 13, 10:3, Gen. 15:13-16, 2 Pet. 2:9, Hos. 6:7) God maintains distance to teach His people holiness (19:7-15, 1 Cor. 7:5, Heb. 12:14) God is increasingly having Moses act as Mediator (19:7-15, 3:12) And He comes down in His holiness (19:16-20a, 20:18, Heb. 12:24, c.f. Lev 10) Let no one presume to enter His holiness (19:20b-25, Heb. 5:1-4) Do you have a mediator? (20:19-21, Heb. 12:18-24)
